Road crews for the Methow Valley Ranger District are working this summer to improve and maintain some of the more heavily traveled roads on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, including Harts Pass Road, Lookout Mountain Road, and the road to Crater Creek trailhead, as well as a number of U.S. Forest Service roads within the Carlton Complex Fire area.
Two portions of what is eventually intended to be an extensive system of linked recreational trails through Winthrop are making progress, town residents and business owners learned at a Monday meeting (July 27) in the Winthrop Barn.
The meeting was hosted by the town to provide details about the projects and let people ask questions.
