Steelhead fisheries closed
Steelhead and whitefish fisheries on the upper Columbia River including the Wenatchee, Entiat, Methow, Okanogan, and Similkameen rivers are closed as of Tuesday (March 31), the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) announced. The closure includes the Methow River from the mouth to the confluence of the Chewuch River in Winthrop. WDFW said the season is closed to minimize impacts to spawning steelhead.
