Liberty Bell High School senior Delilah Cupp, of Twisp, placed third among 15- to-19-year-old females in the Bellingham Bay Half Marathon on Sept. 28. Her time of 1 hour, 41 minutes, 40 seconds put her 27th out of 999 females in the race, and 101st among all 1,492 entries.

Cupp also competed in the Waterfront 15-kilometer race on Sept. 12, placing first among females 17-18 years old with a time of 1:09:51.

Cupp is currently living in Bellingham, where she takes classes at Whatcom Community College as part of the Running Start program. She is now training for the Vancouver Half Marathon at the end of October.
