Winthrop super biathlete Casey Smith, center, was the overall winner of a four-race series at the U.S. International Biathlon Union Cup trials in Grand Rapids, Minn., last week. Smith scored two firsts, a second and a third place to earn a trip to the IBU Cup races in Italy in January.
