Cascadia’s Old-time Music Celebration, a day-long tribute to traditional American music including workshops, performances and a community dance, comes to the Methow Valley on Saturday (Aug. 9). The festivities begin at Winthrop’s Shafer Historical Museum at 10 a.m. and move to the TwispWorks campus for evening revelry starting at 7 p.m.

“A Musical Journey Through Time” offers a full day of workshops, jam sessions, historical perspectives on Methow Valley music, and a free performance of Celtic music.
‘Musical Journey’ scheduled at the Shafer Museum
The Shafer Historical Museum and Cascadia are joining forces to present “A Musical Journey Through Time,” including performances and workshops, on Aug. 24 at the museum in Winthrop.
