Highway 20 over Washington Pass (the North Cascades Highway) was closed today (Thursday, Nov. 12) at 10 a.m. because of “adverse weather and avalanche hazards,” the Washington State Department of Highways (WSDOT) said. OVERNIGHT CLOSURES NEXT WEEK ON NORTH CASCADES HIGHWAY

Late-night travelers, take notice: The North Cascades Highway will be closed between mileposts 126 (Diablo) and 121 (Newhalem) from 10. p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 3) to 6 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 4), and again from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, while Seattle City Light repairs transmission lines damaged by the Goodell Creek Fire.
