Flower power
Methow Conservancy Educational Programs Director Mary Kiesau led 10 plant lovers on a “Wildflower Walk and Talk” above Riser Lake last Friday. Arrowleaf balsamroot, lupine and service berry were among the floriferous displays. The next wildflower walk is scheduled for May 14.

Conservancy’s annual conservation course starts in February
The Methow Conservancy’s 10th annual conservation course, “Botany — The Basics & Beyond,” will be held Monday evenings for six weeks beginning Feb. 10.
