The 16-day federal government shutdown that ended last week had wide-ranging local and regional impacts, on furloughed government workers, students, vacationers, restaurant and lodge employees, and teachers.

Buck numbers ‘best in decades’ for season opener

Small staff left to oversee shuttered USFS facilities
