Winthrop council approves Westernization violation fine
After waiting more than five months for a popular downtown business to comply with a requirement in the town’s Westernization code, the Winthrop Town Council decided at its meeting last week to impose a civil fine if the violation isn’t corrected by Jan. 31.
Copper Glance bar offers craft cocktails and ‘an upscale vibe’
Copper Glance, a downtown Winthrop bar specializing in craft cocktails, has had brisk business and glowing reviews on social media since opening its doors on May 13. Located at 134-A Riverside Ave., Copper Glance serves “classic cocktails with a twist;” craft beers, wines and ciders, including several on draft; and internationally inspired “small plates” — namely, finger foods designed for sharing.
