TranGO’s Methow Valley bus service ready to launch on July 1

Bus service in the Methow Valley begins July 1, with nine trips daily between Twisp and Winthrop, and four daily trips between Twisp and Pateros and between Twisp and Okanogan.

TranGO (Transit for Greater Okanogan) will operate Monday through Saturday with designated stops along fixed routes, as well as “flag stops” in between.

School district plans to begin buying seven new buses with levy proceeds

The Methow Valley School District is planning to buy seven new school buses over the next three years — two this August, three next year, and two in 2018. The school board directors approved the recommendation by Bud Hover, director of operations and capital projects, at their March 23 meeting.
