It was an action-filled day at Husky Stadium last Friday as the Liberty Bell High School team, accompanied by its Methow Valley entourage, crossed the Cascades to play Wilbur-Creston-Keller for the state 1B football championship. The Mountain Lions’ 68-22 win earned Coach Jeff Lidey the traditional victory dousing.
The Winthrop Rink hosted one of three Great Puckaroo Roundup tournaments last weekend, where the home team Spider Monkeys (lower right) took first place in E level play and the local B level team took third place.
