The remodeled Twisp Visitor Information Center in the Methow Valley Community Center was recognized by the Washington Museum Association with a Creative Economy Award of Excellence, the association announced on Oct. 1. The center’s interactive displays and murals were conceived and executed by Juliet Kennedy — who served at the time as the Twisp Chamber of Commerce’s marketing director — along with her husband Matthew Kennedy, several community members, and the Cle Elum-based design firm Studio Understory. “I am excited to share this success with all the people who collaborated on this entire project, to help bring it to life,” Kennedy said.
