The evening includes dinner, live and silent auctions, and eight cellos filling the room with music. Chamber Festival Artistic Director Kevin Krentz and cellist Haeyoon Shin take the stage with six of their students for a cello octet: eight cellos playing as one.
The ensemble will perform Heitor Villa-Lobos’s “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1” and Peter Gregson’s “Bach Recomposed,” bringing together music rooted in Bach with distinctly different 20th- and 21st-century voices.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $175 per individual, $1,600 for a host table of eight, or $2,500 for a patron tale of eight. For information, visit www.methowmusicfestival.org/the-crescendo.
