The 70-year-old Eiffert Building, seen in this December 2024 photo, sold Aug. 28 to a local LLC. Plans for the building weren’t immediately clear.

Mick & Miki’s sale marks ‘end of an era’

The downtown Twisp building that was home to Mick & Miki’s Red Cedar Bar for almost 40 years sold on Aug. 28 to a local LLC, according to Okanogan County assessor’s records.

Former owner Miki Eiffert announced the sale Wednesday (Sept. 2) on Facebook and in a statement to the Methow Valley News.

“End of an era. The 70-year-old Eiffert Building, first known as Boyd’s Club Cafe and for the past 39 years as Mick & Miki’s Red Cedar Bar, has been sold to new owners leaving behind some good times and great memories,” Eiffert said in her statement.

The Broken Spoke also operated in that building before it became Mick & Miki’s, which closed in 2020. The building has been vacant since.

The Assessor’s Office gave the sale price as $490,000. The building had been listed for years for $500,000.

The building was purchased by Methow Sustainability Alliance LLC, according to the Assessor’s Office. The sole governor of the LLC is Christopher Webb, according to a filing with the Washington Secretary of State’s office.

Real estate listings for the building at 110 S. Glover St. indicated it was 3,384 square feet with a 100-year-old custom bar, a large kitchen with some equipment, an entertainment stage and a basement.

Commenters on Facebook thanked Eiffert for the memories — and the fries, the tartar sauce and the ice-cold Rainier Beer. Many hoped it would reopen as a restaurant.

Eiffert said she did not deal directly with the new owner but noted he was “very hush-hush about any plans.”
