The Methow Valley School District Community Facilities Task Force has developed a community-wide ThoughtExchange survey that invites the district’s residents to weigh in on the future of its school facilities.
The survey is a key milestone in the work of the district’s Community Facilities Task Force, a 23-member, community-led committee developing a long-range facilities plan, according to a press release from schools Superintendent Grant Storey.
It’s not necessary to have a student in district schools to participate.
According to the press release, “ThoughtExchange is an online platform that lets participants anonymously share their thoughts, read what neighbors are saying, and ‘star’ the ideas that resonate most with them. The survey takes about 10 minutes, works on any phone, tablet, or computer, and is completely anonymous.”
The survey can be accessed by scanning the QR code included on the postcard mailed to district residents, or by visiting the district’s website, www.methow.org. The survey will remain open through Monday, Sept. 14.
“Your perspective matters,” said Steve Robinson, Chair of the Community Facilities Task Force. “This survey is a direct way for the whole community to help shape the recommendations we bring to the district and school board.”
Results from the survey will help inform the Task Force’s ongoing work, which is set to conclude with a final set of facility recommendations delivered to the District and School Board by May 27, 2027.
