Tickets are on sale for the annual Winthrop Kiwanis Duck Race on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7), when the ducks are dumped off the Chewuch River bridge in Winthrop at noon for their float downriver to the Methow River bridge.
Business-sponsored ducks are also in the race. Last year’s business winner was The Branding Iron in Twisp.
Individual tickets are $5 (buy as many as you like); business tickets are $100. Look for the giant duck at locations around the community to buy your tickets from a Kiwanis member, or buy them online at https://winthropkiwanis.com/2026-duck-days.
First prize for the winner duck is $500. Second prize is $300; third prize is $100; fourth and fifth prizes are $50. You do not need to be present to win.
