Ballots for the Nov. 7 general election have been mailed from the Okanogan County Auditor’s office. If you have not received a ballot by Friday, Oct. 27, call the Auditor’s Office at (509) 422-7240, or email elections@co.okanogan.wa.us.
Ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, Nov. 7, or placed in a drop box by 8 p.m. that day. Return envelopes are postage-paid; there is no need for a stamp. Be sure to sign the yellow envelope.
Drop boxes in the Methow Valley are at the Twisp Civic Building and the Winthrop library (relocated from the Winthrop Barn). There is also a drop box at the Pateros Mall.
Oct. 30 is the deadline to register or update your registration online or by mail. Register at VoteWa.gov. The deadline to register in person is on election day, Nov. 7. The Auditor’s Office is at 149 Third Ave. N., Room 104, in Okanogan. You can obtain replacement ballots, drop off completed ballots and use the accessible voting unit. Hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on Nov. 7.
Voters’ pamphlet corrections
The Okanogan County Auditor’s office said in a press release that a phone number was left off of a candidate’s contact information for Methow Valley School Board Position 3 in the 2023 November General Election Local Voter’s pamphlet after it had already been sent out to get printed. The contact information for the candidate’s running in that position are:
