Give Methow is not about testing the Methow Valley’s generosity. It’s about trusting it.
For the past seven years, that trust has paid off. The annual fundraising drive during the month of October has raised nearly $4 million for valley nonprofits, including a single-year record of nearly $802,000 in 2022.
The Community Foundation of NCW is again hosting the Give Methow campaign. This year, according to the foundation, “there are 43 nonprofits seeking your support for the work they do to make the valley a sustainable, vibrant community for all. You’ll find a few new organizations on the list along with many of your favorite causes.”
Any 501c3 nonprofit or fiscally sponsored organization located within the Methow Valley in good standing is eligible to participate, according to the foundation.

Then get started. It’s easy to do. Just visit https://cfncw.org/givemethow and follow the guidelines.
The minimum gift is $10, and 100% goes to the organizations. The foundation will cover the credit card fees — or you can choose to. Donate to “Give to All” and it will be matched up to $50,000 thanks to an anonymous and donor. Donate on a Funday Monday and you’ll be entered to win $1,000 to use on Give Methow any way you choose.
This year, the organizations are showcasing their work through Funday Monday Open Houses. Watch the Community Briefs section in the newspaper for a schedule of events — all free, all offering Blue Star coffee and treats.
If you look at the lineup of participating organizations, you’ll recognize most or all of them. If you are less familiar with what some of them do, take a minute to familiarize yourself with their programs and contributions. Each has a special role that is not duplicated, and all of them are vital to the well-being of the valley’s citizens. Every unencumbered dollar they receive goes toward keeping them active and responsive to the Methow’s needs.
There are other ways to give. Most of these organizations also rely on volunteers to help sustain their operations and extend the reach of their tight budgets. Your time has value as well.
