Okanogan County Preliminary 2024 Budget
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners that the county’s 2024 preliminary budget has been completed by the county auditor and submitted to the county commissioners, in accordance with RCW 36.40. The preliminary budget is available to the public upon request by contacting the Clerk of the Board either via email

by telephone 509-422-7100 or by mail to Okanogan County Commissioners Office, 123 5th Ave N, Rm 150, Okanogan, WA 98840.
And, in accordance with RCW 36.40.071, the alternate date on the first Monday in December was chosen by the Board for their budget hearing, for the purpose of making tax levies and fixing the county’s final 2024 budget. Any taxpayer may appear thereat to be heard for or against any part of the budget. Counties may continue their final budget hearing day-to-day, not to exceed a total of five days.

An application for a short subdivision has been submitted by Tim Pecha on behalf of Randall Bishop to divide approximately 28.77 acres into 2 lots. METHOW VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT
EQUALIZATION MEETING NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Methow Valley Irrigation District’s Board of Directors will conduct the annual equalization meeting on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the basement of the Methow Valley Community Center in Twisp, Washington.
The purpose of the meeting is to equalize assessments for the 2024 irrigation season. In the event the board concludes the business that may come before it prior to 6:00 p.m., MVID’s regular meeting will immediately follow the equalization meeting.
The preliminary assessment roll is on file in the district office for the inspection of all persons interested. Upon the day specified in this notice, the Board of Directors, constituted a Board of Equalization for that purpose, shall meet and continue in session from day to day as long as may be necessary, not to exceed ten days, exclusive of Sundays, to hear and determine such objections to said assessment roll as may come before them; and the Board may change the same as may be just.
Any member who cannot attend the meeting is encouraged to submit a letter stating his or her comments to or request of the Board on or before October 2, 2023 to the district office at PO Box 860, Twisp, WA 98856.
All lands will be fully assessed unless the parcel owner petitions the Board to hear and determine if a reduced assessment is warranted. No lands will be equalized after the meeting date. Questions may be directed to the district office at (509) 997-2576 or mvid2019@centurytel.net.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING
A special meeting of the NCW Libraries Board of Trustees is being called on September 21, 2023, from 11am – 1pm. The meeting will be held at the NCW Libraries Administrative Offices, located at 16 N. Columbia St., Wenatchee. The purpose of the special meeting is to discuss strategic planning for NCW Libraries. Pursuant to RCW 42.30 the meeting is open to the public. Any member of the public interested in attending should email board clerk Sharon Mauch at smauch@ncwlibraries.org. The regularly scheduled monthly board meeting will be held immediately following the special meeting.
