An article the Aug. 2 issue about local wildfires said the Eagle Bluff Fire near Oroville and the Canadian border had burned more than 15,000 acres as of Aug. 1, with three-fourths of that acreage in the United States. The 15,000 acres described only the area that had burned in the U.S. Acreage burned in Canada is being tallied separately. The News regrets the error.
