The Seattle Glider Council hosted “Methow 2023 — Soaring the Methow Valley” from June 17-24 at the Methow State Airport between Twisp and Winthrop. The valley is considered one of the best venues in the state for scenic soaring. Valley residents Craig and Perri Howard provided use of a hangar as a center of operations for the visitors. Potential participants included one- and two-seaters, and both towable and self-launching gliders.
