Confluence art tour
Methow At Home hosts a free tour of the art show “The Healing Garden” and Q&A session with curator Theresa Miller on Tuesday (June 27) at The Confluence: Art in Twisp, from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Register at methowathome.org. Meet at the Winthrop Barn at 9:15 a.m. for TranGO transportation to the event if needed.

• Wednesday, June 21, 6:30 p.m., at Meza restaurant in Winthrop, book readings with David Lukas and Greg Wright. Naturalist Lukas and novelist Wright share selected passages from their published works. With interviews and Q&A to follow.

• Tuesday, July 18, Friends of the Winthrop Library and Trail’s End Bookstore host a reading by author Lauren Johnson at the library from 6-8 p.m. Johnson is an Afghanistan veteran and former military public affairs officer whose writing has been featured in the Washington Post, the Atlantic, Boston Globe Magazine, Glamour, Yale Medicine Magazine, and elsewhere. “The Fine Art of Camouflage,” her debut book, chronicles her coming-of-age against the backdrop of war.
