Repair Café on Saturday
Methow Recycles’ next Repair Café will be on Saturday (June 17), from 10 a.m.-noon at The Cove in Twisp. Bring repairable items and whatever is needed to fix them. Repairs include wood fixes, tool and knife sharpening, electrical and mechanical repairs, sewing, mending, and darning, and basic bicycle maintenance. Items must be small enough to be carried and must not be leaking fluids or be hazardous in any way. Be prepared to stay with your items. Pride Month events
Several Pride Month Events will be hosted by Methow Pride and partners:
• Thursday (June 15), 6-8 p.m. at Jupiter restaurant in Winthrop, Fun Pride Music Night with DJ Paula aka Coconut Gouda.

• Sunday, June 25, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in Twisp, Pride March from Twisp Town Park to TwispWorks followed by PrideFest with games, spoken word, music and roller skating.
Wildfire, climate change and hope
Trail’s End Bookstore and Resilient Methow present “Fire and Hope: A Night of Storytelling About Climate and Communities” at the Twisp Valley Grange on Friday (June 16) at 7 p.m. The discussion panel, which will cover topics such as storytelling, art, and conversation about wildfire, climate change, hope, and recovery, will include author Madeline Ostrander, firefighter and former Pateros mayor Carlene Anders, scientist Susan Prichard, wildlife biologist Dale Swedberg, wildfire survivor Rob Stafford, and journalist and artist Sarah Gilman. ‘Backstage Pass Brunch’ at TwispWorks
TwispWorks will host its second “Backstage Pass Brunch” on Saturday (June 17), starting at 10:30 a.m. from the Pavilion.
In the style of a progressive dinner party, participants will tour parts of the campus while savoring a locally made brunch, hearing behind-the-scenes and stories from several campus partners. Food will be provided by Twispeats.

Susans of the valley, unite!
Are you a Susan, Suzie, Suzanne, Sue, or a variation? The second “annual” Susan Party will be held 10 years after the first “annual” Susan Party, on Tuesday, June 27, at 5 p.m., in Winthrop. All variations (first, last, middle or nickname) are invited. It’s a potluck, so bring an appetizer, dessert, drinks, dishes and silverware. Salmon Bake in Pateros
The Pateros Booster Club is sponsoring a Salmon Bake in the town park on June 24, starting at noon. Meals are $15 and include salmon, salad, water and rolls from Sweet River Bakery. There will also be several native cultural presentations about bead work, basket weaving, the salmon hatchery and salmon conservation.
