Ty Sheehan, left, was sworn in as Winthrop’s new town marshal by Mayor Sally Ranzau on June 1. Sheehan replaces former Marshal Doug Johnson, who recently retired after holding that position since 2019. Sheehan was a long-time deputy in the Twisp Police Department before his resignation last month. His hiring keeps the Winthrop department, which includes officers Ken Bajema and Nic Plemel, at full strength.
