Jamie’s Place fundraiser
Jamie’s Place will host “Spring Chicken,” a fundraising event for the long-term care facility, on Sunday (June 11) from 5-8 p.m. at Brown’s Farm near Mazama. A barbecue chicken dinner, homemade pies, music by The Apostles and cowboy poetry by John Doran will be included in the evening. Tickets are $75 and are available at http://jamiesplace.org.

Several Pride Month Events will be hosted by Methow Pride and partners:
• Thursday ( June 8) from 8 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Twisp River Taphouse, Queer Trivia night with host Ryan.
• Thursday, June 15, 6-8 p.m. at Jupiter restaurant in Winthrop, Fun Pride Music Night with DJ Paula aka Coconut Gouda.

• Sunday, June 25, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. in Twisp, Pride March from Twisp Town Park to TwispWorks followed by PrideFest with games, spoken word, music and roller skating.
‘Healing Sound Bath’
A “Healing Sound Bath for Women,” an “inward journey of restorative relaxation and healing,” will be offered by Tania Gonzalez Ortega at Head and Heart in Winthrop from 7-8 p.m. on Sunday (June 11). Prepare for disasters
Methow At Home hosts a free presentation of “Map Your Neighborhood,” which offers training on to prepare your neighborhood for natural disasters, on Tuesday, June 13, from 1-3 p.m. at The Cove 2 in Twisp. Learn a nine-step Neighborhood Response Plan that immediately helps you know what to do. The session will be led by Jessica Farmer of the Okanogan County Long Term Recovery Group. Wildfire, climate change and hope
Trail’s End Bookstore and Resilient Methow present “Fire and Hope: A Night of Storytelling About Climate and Communities” at the Twisp Valley Grange on Friday, June 16, at 7 p.m. The discussion panel, which will cover topics such as storytelling, art, and conversation about wildfire, climate change, hope, and recovery, will include author Madeline Ostrander, firefighter and former Pateros mayor Carlene Anders, scientist Susan Prichard, wildlife biologist Dale Swedberg, wildfire survivor Rob Stafford, and journalist and artist Sarah Gilman. ‘Backstage Pass Brunch’ at TwispWorks
TwispWorks will host its second “Backstage Pass Brunch” on Saturday, June 17, starting at 10:30 a.m. from the Pavilion.
In the style of a progressive dinner party, participants will tour parts of the campus while savoring a locally made brunch, hearing behind-the-scenes and stories from campus partners including Old Schoolhouse Brewery, the Methow Valley School District’s auto technology facilities, Velocity Made Good, the art studio of Perri Lynch Howard, Hannah Viano Studios and more. Food will be provided by Twispeats.
