John Lester (on ladder), one of the original participants in the Westernization of downtown Winthrop more than 50 years ago, helped repaint signs at the Emporium (Tenderfoot) last week. The restoration of faded signs and murals is part of the recently launched “Let’s Paint Downtown” campaign.
