Photo: The final cut

May 4, 2023 by Methow Valley News

The last of three “legacy” silver maple trees on Glover Street in Twisp came down last week, leaving piles of cut-up limbs and trunks and an altered streetscape. The work was done by Dennis Jones and his Tree Service Company. This winter, a silver maple on Glover Street was toppled by a severe snowstorm, and two others nearby were determined to be deteriorated to the point that they needed to removed. The silver maples will be replaced with new trees.
