Application
The Okanogan County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee is accepting applications for 2024 Lodging Tax Revenue. Funds may be used for marketing and promotion of tourism related events or activities and for capital expenditures and operation costs of certain agencies. Eligible applicants include certain non-profit entities and any municipality through a convention center, visitors’ bureau or destination marketing organization.

Minor Modification 2023-1
Notice is hereby given that an application has been submitted by Arletta Land LLC, Sunny M LLC and Arletta Development Corporation to modify the existing Sun Mount Resort Planned Destination Resort. The modification is to do a minor shift of lot lines between parcels 3421030099 and 3421030125 and minor shifting of lot lines between parcels 3421173004 and 3421172005. The minor modification will not change the external boundary of the Planned Destination Resort or change the existing land uses.
Parcels 3421030099 and 3421030125 are located at the intersection of Wolf Creek Rd. and Twin Lakes Rd. near Winthrop, WA. This minor shifting of lot lines will move approximately 2.87 acres from parcel 3421030125 to parcel 3421030099.
Parcels 3421173004 and 3421172005 are located near Patterson Lake Rd. near Winthrop. This minor shifting of lot lines will move approximately 19.41 acres from parcel 3421172005 to parcel 3421173004.
No public hearing is scheduled for this proposal. Comments for this proposal are welcome. Comments must be submitted in writing no later than 5:00 p.m., May 18, 2023. All comments will be reviewed by the Okanogan County Planning Director before the final decision.

Termination CUP 2008-8
Notice of Public Hearing
Notice hereby given that Okanogan County is proposing to terminating Conditional Use Permit (CUP) 2008-8. Issued to Okanogan Sales & Recycling, to operate a recycling collection and processing facility. The termination is a result of multiple violations of the conditions placed on the CUP, including illegal expansion, failure to obtain necessary permits in order to operate lawfully, as well as other violations.
Comments on the termination must be submitted in writing or verbally at the public hearing. The Okanogan County Hearing Examiner will conduct a public hearing on May 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., located in the Commissioners Hearing Room in the Virginia Grainger Administration Building at 123 5th Ave. North, Okanogan, WA 98840. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment for or against the consideration of a budget supplemental appropriation. The funds are from the Lumbering Employees Trust Fund, Current Expense Contingency Reserve, Current Expense Fairgrounds Contributions & Donations and Investment Interest in the amount of $170,000 and will be appropriated and used for the purchase of Fairgrounds Race Horse Barns.
