
Surrounded by family and close friends, Jill passed away at her home on April 7, 2023. Jill grew up in the Methow Valley, graduating from Pateros High School in 1979. Jill moved to Spokane to pursue her education and passion for rodeo riding. She graduated from Eastern Washington University in education, later completing a master’s degree at Gonzaga University.
Jill moved to Davenport in 1989 where she spent her career in education working for the Davenport School District. Jill’s kindness touched the lives of hundreds of students. She met and married her husband, Jon “Frosty” Freeze. They raised two sons. Jill had a great love for horses, and riding. She also enjoyed spending time in the Methow Valley. Traveling, camping and watching sporting events filled her days.
Jill was preceded in death by her father, William Wagoner. She is survived by her husband, Jon Freeze, sons, Trenton Briney, Ty Freeze (Jessica), granddaughter McKenzie. Her mother Betty Wagoner and brother Dan Wagoner (Maria) also survived her.
A celebration of Jill’s life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 3 p.m. at Davenport Middle School gym, 601 Washington St. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the “Jill Freeze Kindness Scholarship,” 41603 Four Corners Road E., Davenport, WA 99122.
