Between 15 and 20 vendors braved a blustery April Fool’s Day to sell their stuff at the Methow Valley Community Center’s annual April Tools Sale and flea market last Saturday in Twisp.
With the temperature only in the mid- to upper 30s and an occasional flake of snow blowing sideways through the site, patrons perused the parking lot for special deals on tools, relics, music and models.
“We had everything you could imagine for sale out there,” said Community Center Manager Kirsten Ostlie, “even the kitchen sink, literally.”
The sale, in its fourth year, happens the first Saturday in April, the week before the Methow Valley Farmers Market opens its seasonal run, according to Ostlie. “We opened it in 2019, then took a year off for COVID,” she said.
The sale is a fundraiser to support the Community Center and is the kickoff event for its annual membership drive. Learn more at methowcommunity.org.
