From left, Tristan Hover, Holden Riggs, Brodi Barber, Lucien Paz, Baker Smith, Damon Alumbaugh, Cassidy Jones-Mowen and Heidi Devlieg, all sophomores, made up the Liberty Bell High School contingent that recently participated in the Washington State History Day regional contest at Eastern Washington University in Cheney. The theme this year was “Frontiers in History.” Five students placed and earned a chance to move on to the state finals on April 22 at Lake Washington High School: Individual Documentary Film, Holden Riggs, for a documentary on the history of leukemia treatment; Damon Alumbaugh and Lucien Paz for their documentary on steroids in baseball in the 1990s; Group Website, Brodi Barber and Baker Smith for their website on the construction of the North Cascades Highway.
