Taikoproject at the Barn
Taikoproject, a renowned ensemble of musicians who perform the traditional Japanese form of drumming known as taiko, will appear at the Winthrop Barn on Saturday (March 11) in a presentation by Methow Arts.
The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 in advance for adults; $22 at the door; $7 for children ages 5-15. Reserved seating is $30 for all ages. ‘Oz’ rehearsals underway
Methow Valley Theater is currently in rehearsal for its spring musical production of “The Wizard of Oz,” which runs April 28-May 7 at the Methow Valley Community Center in Twisp. The production is co-directed by Nadine Van Hees and Maggie Wicken. Music director and pianist Lynette Westendorf will be accompanied by George Schneider on flute, Norma Shull on violin, and Sylvie Henry on bass, as a pit orchestra.
