
The new Winthrop library was recently named a runner-up in the Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce’s 2022 Building of the Year Awards. The building, designed by Johnston Architects and Prentiss+Balance+Wickline Architects, opened in June 2022. Voters’ comments in the annual awards process included: “Beautiful project. It really represents its community and context in a thoughtful and creative way;” and “This library is beautiful and timeless.
