Don passed away at home in early December after a lengthy bout with cancer. He truly lived life to the fullest with joy, passion and love. he was a kind and gentle man. He pursued his many hobbies and interests. His ultimate achievements were building several airplanes and a hot rod. He was always fixing or building things.
In the early 1960s, Don pursued his love of flying. After some fundamental flying lessons, he was hired by United Airlines where he enjoyed a 35-year career. It was there that he met his wife, Pat, who was a flight attendant for United.
When retirement was looming, Don and Pat heard about a beautiful spot in north central Washington. They chose to make the Methow Valley their home. It was there on the hill at the Spring Canyon Ranch where they celebrated their life together.
Don is survived by his wife, Pat, his daughter Jeree, and Pat’s daughters Kerry and Jennifer. Also grandkids, Nick, Jason, Maddie and Sarah. He also leaves behind his brother Floyd.
Don will be missed, but all are thankful for the time spent together.
