Thanks to redistricting following the 2020 Census, the Methow Valley and all of Okanogan County are now part of the state’s 7th Legislative District, with a different slate of legislators representing them in Olympia during the current session of the Legislature.
The Methow had previously been part of the 12th Legislative District, which was also realigned as a result of redistricting.
The new 7th District, the state’s largest includes all or part of seven counties in North Central and Northeastern Washington: Douglas, Ferry, Grant, Okanogan, Pend Oreille, Spokane and Stevens.
The 7th District’s legislators are Sen. Shelly Short, R-Addy, Rep. Jacquelin Maycumber, R-Republic, and Rep. Joel Kretz, R-Wauconda. Following is a brief introduction to each, and their contact information in Olympia.
