Arts Briefs: Second City HEADED FOR BARN, R&B Festival tickets, Ecstatic Dance

Second City HEADED FOR BARN

Methow Arts presents the legendary Second City comedy troupe in an adults-only performance, “Second City Swipes Right: an Incomplete guide to the Ultimate Date Night,” on Feb. 11 at the Winthrop Barn.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Visit www.methowarts.org/category/events to buy tickets for what will likely be a sold-out event, or come by the Methow Arts office in Twisp. Individual tickets are $40; a Gold Premier Table is $250 for four; a Gold Table is $200 for four.

R&B Festival tickets

Tickets are now on sale for the annual Winthrop Rhythm & Blues Festival, scheduled for July 21-23 at the Blues Ranch west of Winthrop.

This year’s lineup is scheduled to include Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, North Mississippi Allstars, Ruthie Foster, Marc Broussard, Rick Estrin & the Nightcats, Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, Jackie Venson, Too Slim & the Taildraggers, Yates McKendree, Veronica Lewis and the Methow Juke Joint Allstars.

Ecstatic Dance

Ecstatic Dance sessions will be offered on Friday, Feb. 10, March 3 and March 17, from 7-9 p.m. Cost is $10. Email dancedeirdre@gmail.com for more details.

• First Sundays, The Methow Acoustic Musicians Association — an informal gathering of local folk who like to share music and sing together — meets at The Cove 2, Twisp, 3-5 p.m.

• Mondays (but on Feb. 7 and 14), Twisp and Mazama ukulele groups at Winthrop library community space, 4 p.m., newcomers welcome. Email geraldebell@yahoo.com for information.

• Tuesdays (except Feb. 14), classical singer Roberto Salina at Methow Valley Ciderhouse, Winthrop, 5:30-8 p.m. No cover.

 • Wednesdays, line dancing and more with Debbie Bair at Twisp River Tap House, 6-8 p.m. $10.

• Wednesdays, Zumba at Winthrop Physical Therapy and Fitness, 11 a.m. Drop-in rates available.

• Thursdays, Zumba with Brandi at Methow Valley Community Center gym, 5:30-6:20 p.m. By donation.

• Fridays, Soleil Kelley, Loren Boley and Isaac Shaw at Meza, Winthrop, 6-8 p.m. No cover.

• Fridays, open mic jam with Gregg Hardy at Twisp River Tap House, 6:30 p.m.-close. No cover.

• Feb. 2, Wayne & Breathe offer jazz at the OSB Taproom, Twisp, 5:30-8:30 p.m. No cover.

• Feb. 3, open mic at Old Schoolhouse Brewery, Winthrop, 6-9 p.m. No cover.

• Feb. 4, dance party with Vera Loves Vinyl at Twisp River Tap House, 7 p.m. No cover.

• Feb. 7, Bevis and Bowler at Mazama Public House, 5-8 p.m. No cover.
