NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners that a Public Hearing is set for 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 and will be held in person and via ZOOM, in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment for or against the consideration of budget supplemental appropriation within the Current Expense Contingency Reserve Intergovernmental Payment from Lodging Taxes and Current Expense Fairgrounds in the amount of $46,000. The funds will be used to allocate budget to complete Fairgrounds RV Restroom Remodel Project and Annex Floor Project.
The hearing will be held remotely in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room located at 123 5th Avenue North, Okanogan, Washington. A Special Election will be held in the below mentioned districts for the purpose of submitting to the voters for their approval or rejection the following.

The registration deadline for online registrations, mail-in registrations and transfers is February 6, 2023. Any qualified elector who is not registered to vote in the State of Washington may register to vote in person at the Auditor’s Office up to and including February 14, 2023.
You can register or obtain registration forms at the Auditor’s Office, on line at www.vote.wa.gov, and Department of Licensing.
The Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Room 104, at the County Courthouse, will be open so voters may obtain replacement ballots, drop off voted ballots, obtain provisional ballots, and use the Accessible Voting Units, at the following times.

Ballots require no postage and must be postmarked by the day of the election. Check with your local Post Office for deadlines to have your ballot postmarked properly.

Meetings of the Okanogan County Canvassing Board are open, public meetings and shall be continued until the activities for which the following meetings are held have been completed. Canvass Board meetings are held in the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office, 149 3rd Ave N, Room 104, at the County Courthouse, in Okanogan.
Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM to determine the status of any provisional or challenged ballots
Friday, February 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM to canvass the votes cast and certify the election

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
There will be a SWAC (Solid Waste Advisory Committee) meeting on February 6, 2023 at 4:00pm at 1234-A 2nd Ave S, Okanogan WA 98840 in the Okanogan County Public Works conference room upstairs.

Notice of Application and Threshold SEPA Determination
CUP 2023-1 Jaquish Rd Cannabis
Notice is hereby given that an application has been submitted by Austin Smith to permit a Tier three producer processor cannabis operation. The proposal is to fencing off approximately 3 acres for a cannabis operation and includes two 8’ x 40’ conex containers, two 30’ x 100’ greenhouses and fifteen 8’ x 80’ hoop houses. The cannabis operation will operate Spring, Summer and Fall. The operating hours will be from 8 am to 5 pm. Water will be provided by the Okanogan Irrigation District. A new well will be drilled for early spring use. The site is located at 42 Jaquish Rd near Omak WA on tax parcel number 3426231014.
The SEPA Responsible Official has reviewed the Environmental Checklist and project description and issued a Threshold Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) on this proposal in accordance with WAC 197-11-350. A public hearing for this project will be set at a later date. The public is welcome to comment on this project. Project comments may be submitted in writing up to the hearing or be presented at the hearing. SEPA comments regarding this threshold determination may be submitted in writing by 5:00 pm February 10, 2023. All SEPA comments will be reviewed for relevance, and if necessary additional conditions will be placed on the MDNS. If no comments are received the MDNS will stand as final. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Twisp Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the preliminary approval of the proposed Orchard Hills Planned Development. The proposal entails development of Parcel No. 3322180099 with 52 residential lots ranging in size from 3,630 sq ft to 8,903 sq.ft. with 3 open space tracts of 8,390 sq.ft., 116,669 sq.ft. and 171,156 sq ft. As a planned development the application requests that interior lots have a zero side yard setback. The proposed planned development is located west of the Painters Addition to Twisp with access from Harrison Street and proposed emergency access to Isabella Lane within the Town’s reservoir access easement, within Section 18, Township 33 N., Range 22 E.W.M. The public hearing will be held in the Council Chambers of the Twisp Civic Building at 118 S Glover on February 8, 2023 at 5:30 pm. Instructions to join the meeting online will be posted on the Town’s website in advance of the hearing at townoftwisp.com.
