The Okanogan County Central Landfill, Ellisforde Transfer Station, Bridgeport Transfer Station & Twisp Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday Dec. 24, 2022 in observance of Christmas. All locations will resume regular schedules Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022. All locations will also be closed on Saturday Dec. 31, 2022 for New Year’s Day and will resume operations on Tuesday Jan. 3, 2023.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Okanogan County is updating its list of potential vendors for the purchase of materials, equipment, supplies or services valued between Ten thousand dollars ($10,000) and Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) in accordance with the county’s policy resolution 24-2020 and RCW 39.04.190. Below is a list of general categories in which the County may make purchases in 2022. Potential vendors of any of these categories are invited to notify the County in writing if they wish to be placed on the vendors list.

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY OF A SEPA CHECKLIST AND PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given under WAC 197-11-455 and WAC 197-11-510 that the Okanogan County Office of Planning and Community Development has issued a threshold determination of non-significance for the proposed Okanogan County Rezone of the Upper & Lower Tunk Basin and Tamarac Basin due to lack of legal available water and to protect instream flows.

Proposal: The Okanogan County Office of Planning and Development is proposing to increase the density provisions of the Okanogan County Zone map fir the Upper & Lower Tunk Basin and Tamarack Basin due to lack of legal available water and to protect instream flows.
Location: The properties affected are within the for the Upper & Lower Tunk Basin and Tamarack Basin of northern Okanogan County. A map is available upon request from the department.
Agencies, affected tribes, and members of the public are invited to comment on the non-project SEPA checklist, threshold determination of non-significance and the zone map correction project documentation. The deadline for submitting comments is January 19, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. You may submit your comments in writing or electronically to: spalmer@co.okanogan.wa.us or comments can me mailed or delivered to 123 5th Ave N. Public hearing: A public hearing has been scheduled with the Okanogan County Planning Commission to give interested parties the opportunity to provide verbal testimony on the Okanogan County zone map error correction. The public hearing will be conducted on January 23, 2023 at 6L00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Granger Building in Okanogan Washington. Verbal testimony will be limited to 3 minutes per speaker. Written comments may be submitted at the hearing or prior to the hearing at the email and address listed above.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town of Winthrop has adopted its Ordinance No. 766, which in summary, amends the 2022 Budget.
Said ordinance may be examined at the Winthrop Town Hall during regular business hours or a copy will be mailed upon request.
