Nonprofit organizations in the Methow Valley and Okanogan County are the recipients of Regional Impact Grants totaling $412,000 from the Community Foundation of NCW.
Regional Impact Grants provide annual core operating support to eligible nonprofits in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties, according to a foundation press release.
The funding for the grants comes from unrestricted dollars gifted to the foundation and a portion of the fund management fees.

In the Methow Valley, grant recipients were Classroom in Bloom ($6,000), the Loup Loup Ski Education Foundation ($10,000) and the Pateros Apple Pie Jamboree ($6,000). Family Health Centers, which has a clinic in Twisp, received a grant of $14,000.
Other organizations receiving grants included Green Okanogan, the Okanogan Borderlands Historical Society, Okanogan County Artists Association, Okanogan County Community Action Council, Okanogan County Search and Rescue Association, Okanogan County Transportation and Nutrition, Okanogan Land Trust, and Okanogan Valley Orchestra and Chorus.
