MyKenzie Bennett has joined the Methow Valley News staff as a publications and advertising designer.
Bennett is a Montana native and graduate of Montana State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She previously worked as a graphic designer and photographer, and also operated her own design business while living in Florida.
At the News, Bennett will assume responsibility for design of the newspaper, special publications and advertising.
Bennett and her husband, Eli — who has served as a U.S. Air Force F-15 Weapons Systems Officer — are moving to the Methow Valley from Spokane in early 2023 (along with their dog, Olive). They have been frequent visitors to the valley for several years and the Methow “has always felt like home,” Bennett said. She has been working in the News office and also remotely while getting up to speed at the paper.
“We are pleased to have MyKenzie on board to fill this important role,” Publisher Don Nelson said. “We look forward to putting her creativity and energy to good use.”
