PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Okanogan County Central Landfill, Ellisforde Transfer Station, Bridgeport Transfer Station & Twisp Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday Dec. 24, 2022 in observance of Christmas. All locations will resume regular schedules Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022. All locations will also be closed on Saturday Dec. 31, 2022 for New Year’s Day and will resume operations on Tuesday Jan. 3, 2023.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

ORDINANCE 2022-10 EXTENDING THE MORATORIUM ON SUBDIVISIONS IN THE UPPER & LOWER TUNK BASINS AND TAMARACK SPRINGS BASIN

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Okanogan Board of County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on January 10, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. to take public testimony regarding ordinance 2022-10 approved November 29, 2022 which imposed a moratorium on divisions of land within the Upper & Lower and Tamarack Springs Basin all located in Water Resource Inventory Area #49. The public hearing is scheduled to meet the procedural requirements found in RCW 36.70.795.

The public hearing will be conducted January 10, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium in the Virginia Granger Building in Okanogan, WA. Verbal testimony will be taken at the hearing. Written comments will be accepted prior to the hearing and may be submitted in writing or electronically to Pete Palmer, Planning Director, at 123 5th Ave North Ste 130, Okanogan, WA 98840 or at spalmer@co.okanogan.wa.us The deadline for written comments is JANUARY 9, 2023.
