Classroom in Bloom Yard waste drive on Friday

November 2, 2022 by Methow Valley News

In partnership with Resilient Methow, Methow Clean Air and the Methow Valley Citizens Council, Classroom in Bloom is hosting its first yard-waste drive — “Make Soil, Not Smoke” — on Friday (Nov. 4) from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Methow Valley School District campus, between the elementary and high school buildings.

A chipper/shredder will be available. Chipped material will become part of the compost on the Classroom in Bloom site.

Allowed are small-diameter (up to 3 inches) wood material, leaves and lawn clippings. Not allowed are weeds, weed seeds or weed roots.

For information, visit www.classroominbloom.org/new-events.
