NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Okanogan County Commissioners that a Public Hearing is set for 1:40 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022 and will be held in person and via ZOOM, in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment for or against the consideration of budget supplemental appropriations within the Public Works Road Fund 102 in the amount of $595,000. The funds are from the Ending Fund Balance and will be used for Leave, Personnel Benefits and Repairs and Maintenance.

The hearing will be held remotely in the County Commissioners’ Hearing Room located at 123 5th Avenue North, Okanogan, Washington. •        Funds are from Contingency Reserve Fund 001.015 and will be moved to Vehicle Reserve Fund 197 in the amount of $5,600 for Assessor’s Vehicle

•        Funds are from Investment Interest Fund 001.000 and will be moved to Non-Departmental Fund 001.015 in the amount of $250,000 for MUNIS Accounting Software

•        Funds are from the Capital Improvement Fund 134 and will be moved to the Capital Expense Bond Fund 171 in the amount of $9,996,247 for Judicial Services, Public Works New Shops, Law Enforcement, Bond Payment, and Debt Costs

•        Funds are from County Assistance Fund 001.000 and will be moved to Prosecutor’s Fund 001.016 in the amount of $305,065 for Salary and Benefits, Professional Services Criminal and Professional Services Civil

Notice of Application and SEPA Exemption

An application for a short subdivision has been submitted by Dennis Wierks of Custom Upholstery, Ltd to divide approximately 4.61 acres into 4 lots. All proposed lots to be served by City of Oroville water and individual on-site septic systems. The property is identified by parcel # 7900410002 located approximately 1.5 miles north of Oroville on Westlake Road.

The Okanogan County SEPA Responsible Official issued a final SEPA determination identifying this project is exempt from SEPA review in accordance with WAC 197-11.

The Okanogan County Office of Planning and Development made a final decision on the above-noted projects. METHOW VALLEY IRRIGATION DISTRICT

NOTICE TO FILE DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY FOR ELECTION FOR DISTRICT DIRECTOR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election of the MVID will be held.  The district will elect two members to the Board of Directors: one to serve a three-year term in Position 1 and one to serve the remaining year of the unexpired term in Position 2, both commencing January 3, 2023.  Any qualified elector of the District interested in becoming a candidate must be sponsored by ten qualified electors of the District whose signatures appear on a petition that will show his/her intention of becoming a candidate for Directorship.  Petition blanks may be obtained by contacting the District Secretary at (509) 997-2576 or mvid2019@centurytel.net.  The signed petitions must be filed with the District Secretary no later than 5:00 PM on Monday, November 7, 2022.  Should the Secretary receive only one signed petition for the position, under the amended State Irrigation Statute, an election will not be necessary.

TOWN OF WINTHROP

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Winthrop Town Council will hold a public hearing on the revenue sources for the 2023 current expense fund budget and the setting of the annual Ad Valorem (property) and Emergency Medical Service taxes for the year 2023 for the Town of Winthrop at 6:05 pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the back room (Hen House) of the Winthrop Barn, 51 SR20 and via Zoom meeting #830 8501 7167.

All interested persons may appear and be heard at said time and place. Written comments must be received by the time of hearing in order to be considered. All persons requiring assistance in accessing the Winthrop Barn are requested to contact Town Hall at 996-2320 at least one day prior to the hearing.

The property tax ordinances can be reviewed at Winthrop Town Hall or mailed/emailed upon request.
