Ballots for the Nov. 8 general election have been mailed by the Okanogan County Auditor’s Office. If you do not receive your ballot by Friday, Oct. 28, contact the Auditors Office at (509) 422-7240 or email elections@co.okanogan.wa.us.
Ballots can be returned by mail (postage is free; must be postmarked by Nov. 8), or dropped off at one of several drop box locations until 8 p.m. on election day.
In the Methow Valley, the drop boxes are at the Winthrop Barn, and at Twisp’s temporary town hall at 110 E. Second St. In Pateros, the drop box is in the Pateros Mall parking lot. Visit www.okanogancounty.org/auditor for a list of additional drop box locations.
There is still time to register to vote. Online and mail registration must be received eight days before election day. Visit https://voter.votewa.gov/WhereToVote.aspx to register online. You can also register to vote in person at the Auditor’s Office, 149 Third Ave. N., Okanogan, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and up to 8 p.m. on election day.
Washington State is all vote by mail. There is no need to request an absentee ballot.
