Thomas Wayne Yoakum

Thomas Wayne Yoakum, 68, a lifelong resident of the Methow Valley, passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane on Sept. 10 of heart failure. He was born Oct. 13, 1953, to Jack and Imogene Yoakum in Springfield, Illinois.

He was a jack of all trades and perfected all that he set his mind to. He held many jobs from tow truck driver in Portage, Alaska, to road construction all over the Pacific Northwest. He later had an auto body business and then built/contracted wildfire support equipment.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Bob. He is survived by daughter Jillian, brother Steve, nephews Nathan and Matthew and niece Cami. He has requested no services.
