Methow Recycles and Home Range Wildlife Research are teaming up for a PVC and materials drive this fall for live animal traps.
Methow Recycles said in a press release that it ordinarily does not accept PVC for recycling, but for the months of October and November the organization will support Home Range Wildlife Research, a local nonprofit that is upcycling PVC in order to build live traps for lynx research.
Home Range is in need of 1-inch or 1 ¼-inch SCH 40 PVC pipe, at least 15 inches in length; 1-inch or 1 ¼-inch couplers; three-way couplers; T-couplers; chicken wire; hard ware cloth; and ¼-inch steel rods or rebar to complete the live traps, according to the release.
Bring any PVC in good repair or other materials mentioned above to Methow Recycles during regular hours (Thursday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.) or email anna@homerange.org.
