Methow Valley Rodeo Queen Hailey Bolyard is an experienced rider.

Hailey Bolyard, a freshman at Newport High School who has many Methow Valley connections, has been named 2023 Methow Valley Rodeo queen.
Bolyard follows in the hoofprints of her mother, Amanda Hammer (formally Taylor), a Liberty Bell High School graduate who was the 1999 Methow Valley Rodeo queen. Her sister, Alyssa Bolyard, will be the 2023 Newport Rodeo Queen, making them automatic travel partners for events around the region.
Rodeo runs deep in Bolyard’s family. She is the granddaughter of Hugh and Janet Glassburn, longtime Methow Valley residents. Her father, Chase Bolyard, is a familiar figure at local rodeos. Grandparents Roger and Anna Hammer are also well-known at the rodeos. Step-father Garret Hammer and uncles Ben and Aaron Hammer, as well as aunt Cheyenne Hammer, are familiar names in the world of rodeo in the area as well.
Bolyard’s coronation banquet will be held on Oct. 21 at the Bear Creek Golf Course near Winthrop, from 4-7 p.m. Cost is $20 per person. There will be an auction featuring an array of items, baskets and desserts to help support Bolyard in her travels and representation.
