Cycling team takes top spots at the Loup

The Methow Cycling Team showed up in force for the second and final race of the Washington Student Cycling League’s fall season at Loup Loup Ski Bowl last weekend.

In combined team results, the high school team took 1st place while the middle schoolers took 2nd place. Stella Scholz repeated as state champion in the varsity girls’ competition.

The team will resume training on spin bikes at the high school later this winter. If interested, email Jeremy Newman at artglass@centurytel.net.

  • Quin Smith, 4th; Wyatt Odion, 6th, 8th-grade boys
  • Keller Knab, 11th, beginner boys
  • Ben Kaufman, 2nd, varsity boys
  • Stella Scholz, 1st; Ila Newman, 3rd; Jasmine DeVleig, 4th, varsity girls
