40 Methow Valley nonprofits part of annual program
Give Methow, the annual local fundraising campaign staged by the Community Foundation of North Central Washington, launches this week and continues through the end of October.
The number of local nonprofits that are participating in the online campaign is up to 40 this year compared to 38 last year, when the drive raised a record $654,375.
Give Methow is intended to make it more efficient to identify nonprofits that donors may want to specifically target for contributions.
See the insert in the B section of this week’s Methow Valley News for information about all 40 nonprofits that are part of the Give Methow effort.
To take part in Give Methow, visit www.GiveMethow.org throughout the month of October. Click on or tap the “donate” button for the organization you want to support. Enter the amount and continue giving until you are ready to check out.
Give Methow will cover credit card fees so that 100% of a donation can go directly to the organizations, unless the donor chooses to pay the fees as part of their contribution. If you choose “give to all,” your donation will be matched (up to $30,000) and equally distributed to all the participating organizations.
Give on a “Funday Monday” you’ll be entered to win $500 to use on Give Methow any way you choose.
If you want to give a gift of stock, charitable fund or qualified charitable distribution, email jennifer@cfncw.org for details.
All the nonprofit organizations are 501c3 public charities (or have fiscal sponsors), are in good standing, and are creating significant value to the quality of life in the Methow Valley, according to the Community Foundation.
Give Methow was started in 2015. Since then, more than $1.7 million has been disbursed to charitable causes in the Methow Valley, according to the Community Foundation.
