Notice of Application and Threshold SEPA Determination
CUP 2022-3 Stoneywilde
Notice is hereby given that an application has been submitted by Virginia Tinkey to create a rustic retreat/campground that would include 13 campsites, an office, a hot/cold plunge or sauna, a communal kitchen, and structures for shade on 37 acres in Twisp. Phase one will create 5-7 campsites with no hook-ups, tent platforms, fire pits, ADA compliant bathrooms, a hot/cold plunge or sauna, and structures for shade. Phase two will add the communal kitchen, the remaining campsites, and another bathroom. The final phase will add a dwelling unit for the property owner; an office; a year-round, enclosed structure; and add amenities to three of the campsites for cooking. The water is supplied by two wells at a maximum total withdrawal of 5,000 gallons per day. Quiet hours will be observed and minimal vegetation will be removed. The site is located at 77 Twisp River Rd, Twisp, WA 98856 on tax parcel 3322180180.
The SEPA Responsible Official has reviewed the Environmental Checklist and project description and issued a Threshold Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) on this proposal in accordance with WAC 197-11-350. The public hearing for this project has been set for October 20th 2022 and will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner’s Hearing Room. Martin’s Mini Storage, SEPA 2022-11
Final SEPA Determination
Due to comments received during the SEPA comment period for SEPA 2022-11 Martin’s Mini Storage; the Determination of Non-Significance has been changed to a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance. Jared Fisher, the proprietor of Martin’s Mini Storage, LLC., intends to expand a self-storage facility by adding four (4) new 215’x35’ storage buildings. Currently there is one (1) 180’x25’ storage building on the parcel. Measures to mitigate the effects of the construction and activity related to this project include: soil testing for toxic substances, a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan, and the implementation of procedure pertaining to the discovery of artifacts under the stewardship of the Colville Confederated Tribes.
